The Attack EV (Electric Vehicle) project

Beginning in 2006, I decided to build a no-compromise, ultra-high performance electric powered sports car from scratch.

A combined total 3360 individual Lithium nano phosphate 26650 sized cells, arranged in parallel groups of thirty power this EV.

The Propulsion motor and controller are a packaged system manufactured by AC Propulsion Inc.  The AC-150 gen2 system.

I wanted a vehicle that had an appearance like no other, and would be a showcase for electric propulsion.

This project has pushed my EE, and "closet" ME skills to their limits.  Some of the critical mechanical engineering design and fabrication
work has been handled by outside professionals where needed. As of 07-09, I am estimating the completion date as 12-09.

Curb weight is estimated at 2100lbs.  The 0 - 60 mph time is accurately estimated at less than 3.2 seconds.
The body paint color is Sonoran Desert Sage, metallic. Trim color is dark gray satin.

K-1 Engineering of Bratislava, Slovakia designed the Attack. A very high quality kit car using a Honda VTEC drivetrain for power.
The Attack is a fully engineered vehicle constructed of Tubing Steel, Fiberglas, and Carbon Fiber.  It's not a copy of something else.
Extensive structural redesign and fabrication were necessary in order to safely transform this into a fully electric powered sports car.

I've documented the Attack EV build since the beginning of the project. You can read all about it here: Attack Forums
